Country star Mindy McCready lost her boyfriend, record producer David Wilson, to an apparent suicide Monday.

The record producer who recently fathered a child with country singer Mindy McCready apparently shot himself to death in his Arkansas home Sunday, authorities said.

David Wilson, 34, father of McCready’s second child, a 9-month-old boy, died shortly after authorities responded to his home on a report of a self-inflicted gunshot, the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to the Daily News.

McCready, 37, who rose to fame in 1996 with her hit “Guys Do It All The Time,” had a long-term affair with married baseball legend Roger Clemens that the Daily News exposed in 2008.

She took up with Wilson soon after she and the Rocket called it quits.

“David was my soulmate,” McCready said in a statement Monday, People Magazine reported. “Those who knew and loved him will miss him; those who did not know David missed the opportunity to know a truly loving and gifted man.”
