Sheâs the Miss America next door.
Mallory Haganâs neighbors in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn, were pleased to learn the charming blonde bombshell who had just been crowned the countryâs top beauty breathes the same air as they do.

"All right! A Brooklyn girl, that's great," said Park Slope resident Jessica Bartolo, 34. "She's beautiful and I'm glad she's representing Brooklyn."
Hagan lives on the second-floor of an unremarkable red-brick three-story apartment building on 17th St. â" and it only adds to her regular girl allure.
"She's very down to earth. Just a hard-working girl,â said her roommate, who would only give his name as Michael. âShe was a (waitress), she goes to school and she does pageants
Tragically, the 23-year-old Fashion Institute of Technology student has a boyfriend, according to the roomie.

Still, neighbors were thrilled for the Alabama beauty queen who has adopted the county of Kings.
"The woman next-door just won a big, big contest," Jason Brenner, 38, told his 2-year-old daughter Emma. âIt's so cool â" Miss America living next door!"
He added Brenner fit right in with Windsor Terrace.
âYou would think one would notice Miss America, but then again, this is New York and there's lots of beautiful people," Brenner said.
Saturday night Hagan rode to victory with a rousing tap dance routine to James Brownâs âGet Up Off That Thing.â She also answered a question about gun control by denouncing the NRAâs controversial proposal to post armed guards at schools.
âI donât think the proper way to fight violence is with violence,â Hagan said.
Her fellow Brooklynites commended the response.
âShe made exactly the right comment," said Jan Lisa Huttner, 61. "I heard it on the radio this morning and I was like, 'You go, girl!'"
A day later, Hagan was still as stunned as the moment the crown was placed on her head.
âIt feels awesome to awake as your #MissAmerica2013 ..jitters still have me speechless lol! =),â she tweeted.
