'Broken City' actor Mark Wahlberg chats with Jimmy Kimmel on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.'

Mark Wahlberg surprised the audience during his appearance on Thursday night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” as he reprised his role from the 1997 film “Boogie Nights.”

The 41-year-old actor walked on set and headed straight towards Kimmel’s house band as they played the awesomely bad 80’s song, “The Touch,” from the well-known flick.

Wahlberg grabbed the mic and belted out, “You got the touch, you got the power.”

“Alright, I forgot the words but it was 16 years ago,” he joked.

Kimmel said he thought the ballad was written intentionally bad just for Wahlberg to sing in the film, but it’s actually a real song by singer Stan Bush.

“I did too,” Wahlberg agreed with the late night host. “The funny thing was [the directors] were like we know you can’t sing so this song has to be your good version of bad.”

Wahlberg was on the talk show to promote his latest blockbuster, “Broken City,” a crime drama also staring Russell Crowe.
