Wolverine has claws for celebration.
"X-Men" star Hugh Jackman returned to his adopted home of New York City after a worldwide tour promoting his latest movie, "Les Miserables," just in time to celebrate Christmas with his family.
The 44-year-old Australian actor was photographed buying a Douglas Fir tree and carrying it back to his Manhattan apartment with one hand like a regular superhero - or at least a regular New Yorker.

Following closely behind were his 12-year-old son, Oscar, and seven-year-old daughter, Ava, who were walking the family’s French bulldog, Dali.
“In a way, it’s been a hard year,†Jackman told Parade magazine. “I was shooting in London for four or five months. We have a family rule that I’m never away for more than two weeks, so I did about nine trips back to [to New York.] And they did three trips to me.
“But for me it was quite a lonely time, and difficult.â€
It isn’t all candy canes and holiday feasts, however, for Jackman. Hours before the family’s annual trip to Midnight Mass, he was photographed pumping iron at his local gym.
